Adolescent psychiatric care is a key part of the work at Egofunktio, and we employ several adolescent psychiatrists. Our upcoming day of education will address the growing mental health problems of young people, which we will look at from the perspective of parenting culture. We are putting our cards in the pile to solve this multifaceted problem at our educational event on February 12, 2021 at 13.15 at Restaurant Viila. As a healthcare professional in Pirkanmaa, you are warmly welcome.
The title of the 2021 training session is: Where do young people’s mental health problems come from?
Minna Hirvelä, a specialist in adolescent psychiatry, has promised to be the initiator with her topic ‘The challenges and sliding boundaries of today’s youth’. Other lectures will be by Atte Oksanen, Professor of Social Psychology, with the topic ‘A housebroken society and violent young people’, and Riikka Riihonen, with her topic about parenting culture, ‘Friend, police or parent? – Child-psychiatric perspective on parenthood today’.
